Which is better as a family dog- a Pembroke Corgi or a Boston Terrier?
I am looking for a good smaller sized family dog. Must do well with children and other dogs and people. I am considering a Corgi and Boston. Any ideas or info on how they are as family pets would be great, thanks!!
The kids are 3 months and 6. I would also like to get into some kind of activity like tracking or agility.
If there is some other breed that is a smaller to medium size that might fit what we are looking for please feel free to mention it.
Corgi is great,as they are really good as a family pet.
They are great dog,as they are very intelligent,good temper,easy to train,brave heart,smart and consider small size too.
But you need to groom their coat often,brush twice a week is OK, and bath once or twice a week, if it was not dirty, if bath too often, they will have dry skin( will have allergy skin).
Pls also brush their teeth,once everyday is OK,if you can,my friend have 2 corgi,that have tooth problem,now told by vet need to brush teeth, twice a day : (
Pls also bring along your whole family to choose the new dog,as it will get to know how big your family was,and it was a good beginning for your new dog also for your family as well.
And last,pls get a vet before you buying a new dog.
Visit or call up the clinic first & check out what the service they provide, and does it fit in to what you want from the clinic(charge,opreation hour,clinic asst good,near your house area and good vet that recommend by your neibour or friend if possible)...
As you have new dog,the first thing you must make a visit to it vet, to ensure it was healthy by body check-up, from the first day.so choose a good vet is very important.

It was also a small breed,very interlligent,easy to train,not much grooming,as it won't shed too much as it was short coat,eat not much, very good temple,very good out going dog
As a family dog is a great choice too.
As my close friend have this both dog,so i get the information from her..
And if i'm not wrong,now there's a movie call (underdog) that should be Beagle..it really cute : )
