Recommendation od using cement sand vs stone dust as a base in insalling driveway pavers from Archer
The base is the most important part of your project. It is also important to have an edge restraint. I put a brick paver sidewalk in and covered my cement porch with bricks. We have had so many compliments. There is a landscape adhesive to glue them on the cement and I used crushed stone for the base and tamped it down. it is nearly like cement when done. Again, the base is the most important. I then laid out the bricks in the pattern we wanted, made all the cuts with a saw we rented (around $50 for the day) and when everything was done, you take silica sand to fill the small gaps. Keep sweeping it in as much as possible. We wet everything down and then once dry added more sand. You can rent a vibrating machine to force the sand into the cracks further, but just add more as you see it needs it. We usually add a little each year because of wash off and sweeping etc. The supplier you purchase from should have detailed instructions for how to install.
