Can one use a dish made from stone in a Microwave Oven? (the dish is glazed on the inside)?
I usually use the dish for tomato aspic. A heart shape dish. It came from my Mom. I think she shaped it on her grinding wheel from Marble or a stone that resembles marble! I was told stone can't be used in Microwave Ovens.. is that correct or wrong?
actually it's not advisable to put stone bowl in the microwave oven. The high heat will actually makes tiny cracks on the bowl surface, and eventually will crack the bowl.
