My plaster mold broke,what do I do?
I made a plaster mold for casting silicone and one of the two halves has a pretty good sized piece that broke off. I tried repairing it with hot glue, elmers white glue and even wood glue but it doesn't hold. What should I use to put it back together and make sure it,strong, would gorilla glue work?
From reading your other question, I think your mold has not had time to dry completely after setting so you are trying to use those glues on damp plaster. If you have not damaged the surfaces with those glues, by waiting until the mold does not feel cool - which can take several days although less time in a warm (well under 200F oven) - you should be able to use elmers or wood glue on it. And although Gorilla Glue requires moisture to set, it also expands while setting so it has to be clamped, which may damage the damp mold, and the glue may tear off the weaker plaster.

And considering your previous question, you might look to see why the mold broke - you may need that release to get your copy out and thus holding the pieces of the mold together with large rubber bands - as is commonly done with multi-part molds - would be a good idea.
