Making hard cider, mould appearing on top?
I have been trying to make hard apple cider for the first time. I juiced about two pails of small apples from the garden and drained the juice into five large, clean Perrier bottles to experiment. I didn't add anything to the apples, as the recipe said extra yeast wasn't needed.

I used clean napkins rather than a curlicue tube as the instructions said you could substitute muslin. Anyway, after about 7 days I tried to rack off the juice, and found that in some of the bottles small circles of mould were floating on the top along with reddish brown bits. It's been about 4 more days, and the mould is starting to reappear in some of the bottles.
Should I abandon the whole batch of cider/ will it be safe to drink if there was some mould growth? Some of the bottles didn't show any problem.
It will be safe to drink. i Have drank the moldy stuff before, i just don't like the way it tastes,
it gets on my nerves, you might want to start over, but i would say
to try it out
